LAKE LANIER VALUES
Hello and welcome to my blog. I will be periodically writing about the Lake Lanier market and any changes that are occurring, that you may want to know about from an appraiser's perspective.

I have appraised Lake Lanier property for over 14 years and this is the first year we are seeing declining values on this wonderful lake, due to the drought and the correction in the entire marketplace. If you own Lake Lanier property and currently are without water at your dock, you may want to appeal your most recent tax bill. Taxes increased considerably this year and that assessment was based upon you having lake front property. Without water at your dock, you should have a significantly lowered tax bill as the value of your property has been significantly reduced at the PRESENT time...Things will change, water will return, but it will take more than 1 year for this to occur unless we have a monsoon season!

We can provide you with a current up to date appraisal on your lake home, so you can lower your recent tax bill....

Water conservation is the order of the day or YEAR.....You must get serious about this NOW, do not wait any longer. The water is only going to come from the sky above and your ability to conserve water. So jump on the band wagon and do your part. Thanks for visiting, I will add something regularly to this blog and try to bring you some new and informative news each time I post.

Next time I will talk about how we appraise lake front homes that currently do not have water! A very interesting process indeed!

We wish all of you a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy & Prosperous New Year.
